National Inventors Day 2019!

Did you know that National Inventors' Day 2019 is right around the corner? Inventors are honored on February 11th for giving us so many amazing new ways of looking at and experiencing the world around us! Thanks to those trailblazers, we have things like smartphones, apps that allow us to pay one another almost instantly, self driving cars, and so much more!

Have you thought about a modern invention you simply couldn’t live without?

We asked a few members of the PayHub team about their favorite gadgets.

Tenajhia, our Office Administrator can’t live without her apple watch for receiving emails, app notifications, making payments, and listening to podcasts on the go!

  • CEO Tim Cook, Chief Executive Officer of Apple Inc. hopes it will “redefine what people expect” from a wearable device.

Josh, our Operations Administrator appreciates modern computer systems and emerging technology, like blockchain.

  • “The blockchain is an incorruptible digital ledger of economic transactions that can be programmed to record not just financial transactions but virtually everything of value.” Don & Alex Tapscott, authors Blockchain Revolution (2016)

We were really interested in a Forbes article released in September 2018 titled "How To Make It as An Inventor."

An inventor had some inspiring words for future generations."To young people looking to tap into their life purpose by becoming inventors, Sanderson offers this advice. “Everyone has a good idea inside of them. This is 100% true and it has never been easier to test it. Sketch ideas and make prototypes with tape and paper. Don’t worry about what it looks like or how good it is. Do it over and over until you have something that works most of the time.”

At PayHub we’re always interested in new technologies that expand and improve what’s possible for our clients businesses! We're looking forward to the next 5, 10, 20 years ahead - what do you think the next big invention will be?

“The best way to predict the future is to invent it.” – Alan Kay
